Mr. Siqing Lu was born in Qingdao in November 1969. He studied violin with his father and uncle at the age of 4 and was admitted to the Primary School attached to the National Conservatory of Music at the age of 8. At the age of 19, he went to the Julia Conservatory of Music in New York. In 1987, he won the gold medal of the International Paganini Violin competition.
Butterfly Lover Story:
Similar to Roméo and Juliet, the Butterfly Lovers is a Chinese legend of a tragic love story of a pair of lovers, Liang Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英臺), whose names form the title of the story. The title is often abbreviated to Liang Zhu (梁祝).
